(and Wookie)

I love learning and I continually pursue education and experiences which not only benefit my clients but myself as well. I enjoy challenging myself and have done a lot of my own personal work around dismantaling internalized messages from society, particularly around sex and gender roles. Prioritizing self-care sounds cliche but is very important to me; I strive to live a life that nourishes me. Which is why when I’m not wearing my therapist hat, I’m hiking with my dog, Wookie (who is in training to be a therapy dog!). Or working on my 13 acre homestead in Conifer, CO where I live with my partner, three children, two dogs, two cats, bunny, seven goats, twenty chickens and four pigs.

I don’t think that we exist in a bubble, as a result I look at the whole person and environment in treatment. I want to understand what external factors are affecting your life and then I want to help you define your boundaries with the external world and find internal congruence. Congruence within yourself and your actions, between who you are and who you are growing into.

I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive atmosphere to help you explore and find your authentic self and voice. I believe in tailoring the treatment to the individual and am comfortable using Mind-Body techniques and Cognitive-Behavioral interventions as needed for anxiety, depression, relational issues and substance use concerns.

Of special interest to me is working with couples and other relationship dynamics. I have post-graduate training in Gottamn therapy, a method developed and backed up with decades of research.  I am an AASECT certified sex therapist and can help with relationship issues from mismatched libido to consensual non-monogamy as well as individual concerns around sexuality or gender identity. I am LGBTQIA+, consensual non-monogamy and Kink friendly.

my Mission

My mission is to empower those I work with. To help them find and embrace their best selves and life. I use an acceptance based approach, striving to meet internal change with love and compassion.
